As we all tuned in to watch the mid-season return of The Walking Dead last night, apparently we were part of something much bigger.
Last night's mid-season premiere pulled in 8.1 million viewers, 5.4 million of that 8 million were estimated to be adults between the ages of 18 to 49.
That 5.4 million count is now the record for the biggest series drama telecast in the adult demographic in basic cable history.
The Walking Dead is anything but dead, dang! It keeps setting record after record, and that's pretty exciting for fans of the series and the comic book franchise readers.
In a weird note, TWD lead-in did nothing for Kevin Smith's premiere of Comic Book Men, as that season premiere faded back into the 2 million viewer count.
