Last year Casey Abrams headed off to the hospital while competing in American Idol. The year before that, I believe someone else headed off to doctor land to receive medical treatment.
The trend continues this year when news is that Phillip Phillips was rushed to the ER just prior to taping of the American Idol results show today. (Thursday, 3-8-12) Man, this show takes its toll on contestants. Then again, I can't imagine the stress of their situation. It has to be nuts.
No official word about Phillips has been released, though the non-medical people in his life suspect gallstones because he's had issues with them before.
