Hey all... I caught a piece of movie news about Joss Whedon's The Avengers... it would seem that Comic Book Movie website seems to think they've found the runtime of the movie, and they clock it out at 150 minutes or 2 and a half hours.
I know that sounds long for a movie, but if this news is accurate (CBM is voicing caution in banking on this info at the moment, though their source hasn't failed them to date.), this isn't that long.
If you think about it, you have an ensemble cast who have to meet, learn to get along, and join together to fight an alien and/or evil menace to mankind. You just can't whip up those kinds of threats and present their beat down in under two hours. Am I right or what?
Plus if The Avengers is the dream movie for fanboys, you definitely don't want it to be too short.
Now... as I like to say, Time will be the telling factor here, in as much as if this is accurate or not! Just sayin'.
The Avengers comes out in theaters on May 4th, 2012.
