TV Line tossed out a morning-after interview with Robert Kirkman, the man behind the comic series, The Walking Dead and they talk at length about last nights episode of The Walking Dead and events that take place in it...
The events range from [?] getting [?], to when [X] start to [X] and [!!!].
Now if you've DVR'd the episode and do not want to have your day spoiled, you will turn around and leave this website. (As much as I hate to say that... but I'd rather you enjoy your episode spoiler-free.)
BUT BEWARE... EVERYONE is TALKING ABOUT IT so tread lightly in your web travels my friends!

The TV Line interview approaches Robert Kirkman as if the TV viewer had no clue about Shane's "character development" last night or the actions that we saw ensue there-after, so be patient here...
Yes, Robert Kirkman knew before the very first episode of The Walking Dead was shot that Shane would exit the story, and so too, did Jon Bernthal. But there were moments that they had considered not killing off Shane because of the potential of various plots that surrounded him... but alas, Shane's story had to come full circle.
And if you think losing Dale on top of the Shane thing was traumatic, stay tuned. Apparently we're going to be kept on our toes through season three of The Walking Dead. (Yes, it was renewed, just in case you had not heard. And "The Governor" is showing up next season.)
They touched on the casting news/spoilers of Jon landing a role in L.A. Noir and that Kirkman said had they not taken the mid-season break, everything would have worked out good.
(Plus, if you follow the AMC website, when they started advertising the DVD/Blu-ray of this season of The Walking Dead (On Amazon), they somewhat blew it there too!)
As far as Shane turning all walker on everyone...
TV Line asked if Shane getting back up as a walker confirms the existence of an infection and the only answer they got was referring to something that Jenner whispered to Rick previously. He wouldn't say, one way or the other what it was, but Kirkman said the viewers will learn in next week's season finale what Rick heard.
BUT...
Robert Kirkman did touch on the season-opener of S2 and made mention that in the traffic jam the group encountered, if you were to look carefully at all the bodies in the cars, they all had some form of a head injury.
(Having not read the comics, I was surmising that the drinking water at the farm was infected... what do I know? -Bruce)
SO...
We'll get to hear more from T-Dog (IronE Singleton) next week. Kirkman apologized for what amounted to T-Dog disappearing from the story, but somethings need to be focused on the precludes other characters.

There's a bit more over at the interview article if you're interested. I didn't want to spoil or steal all the thunder from the interview... but I was excited to share what I have here on The Walking Dead's upcoming season finale. And here's my quickie Walking Dead episode recap from last night.
