After watching the final few episodes of the fourth season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and it was quite the set of season ending episodes.
We followed Obi-Wan Kenobi as he infiltrated a gang of bounty hunters while disguised as one of them. We watched the Night Sisters get their home decimated by Count Dooku and the multi-armed General Grievous.
We followed Asajj Ventress leave behind the Night Sisters with a new look and doing some of her own work.
But then the final two episodes of the fourth season brought home a short-lived but popular character from the Star Wars film franchise... Darth Maul.
We've been hearing about Darth Maul for some time, from the introduction of his brother, Savage Opress, back in season three of The Clone Wars.
But now, in ep 21 "Brothers" and 22 "Revenge," LucasFilm definitely delivered.
In "Brothers" we follow Savage Opress (voiced by Clancy Brown) looking for his brother, Darth Maul (Sam Witwer), and finding him on Lotho Minor, a planet of left over techno junk. Lotho Minor is an awesome new environment, seeing how a planet-sized junkyard exists in the Star Wars franchise.
To be honest, I wasn't sure what Savage would find but I was truly entertained to by my surprise of what he did find or what was left of Darth Maul.
But Savage reclaims his brother and in "Revenge," gets some help putting Darth back together, making him better, faster, stronger... (Oh... that sounds like some other old TV franchise!) And Obi-Wan Kenobi (James Arnold Taylor) is tempted by a communication from Darth Maul to investigate.
But to Obi-Wan's dismay, when he arrives he not only faces Darth Maul, but his bother too, Savage Opress.
It doesn't go well for Obi-Wan, but through happen stance intervention, he gets some help and... well, you'll have to see for yourself when you watch the episode.

Needless to say, the season closer was another great story, setting the stage for a very long fifth season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars... at least for the Jedis and Obi-Wan, as Darth Maul and his brother are both out there. Both formidable in each, their own right. Together, I can't imagine what they can do.
I guess we'll see.
As it stands, we now have to wait patiently for the fifth season of The Clone Wars! Hope we don't have to wait too long!
