John Carter, starring Taylor Kitsch, will open in movie theaters on March 9th, 2012. As a teaser bit, Disney has release a 10-minute scene from John Carter.
This teaser scene takes place on Earth in Arizona... before John transports to Mars... no aliens... no foreign planets, just Earthly scenes.

I've already actually heard good things about this movie and the 10-minute piece looks pretty well put together. And as you can see, in a humorous fashion, they demonstrate Carter's tenacity.
