Robert Hewitt Wolfe is the man whose work includes Star Trek: DS9, Andromeda, The 4400, The Dresden Files, The Gates and Alphas on Syfy. As you may very well know by now, Alphas was not renewed by Syfy for a third season. AKA cancelled. But folks around the Twitter-sphere have been seeing hints dropped by Robert on a new script he's working on. And I decided to start doing some good old fashion internet forensic work!
Here's what I've seen:
Folks have been mulling over what possibilities are in store from Robert and much of the guessing includes a combination of news from Syfy on future projects that they're working on.
Back in April of 2012, Syfy announced almost 30 new projects in various states of dress. Late last year, news was that Syfy had ordered a series called High Moon, based off the book "The Lotus Caves." Robert Fuller is exec producing. Then there's Proof. But that's coming from M. Night Shyamalan. If it makes it to fruition. And there's also Ghost Projekt, a supernatural series, and there's Seeing Things. A bit of a ghost story. Yea, something with a ghost in it on Syfy. Who'd a thunk?
But these were all development news bits. That could mean anything for any project.
Then there's the tidbit out there that there's a space opera called the "Untitled Robert H. Wolfe Project." Hmm. Many folks are keying in on a series that might be titled (pure conjecture?) Defender, which floating news was that Syfy picked up an order for a pilot episode for.
And then the beans may very well be spilled, being as how THR reported on Wolfe's new project with the description,
And then when asked about the series, Defender, Robert tweeted this:
And as far as I can tell, he's still working on the script, because as of January 18th, he said he's still working on a script. ... [twitter.]

If we pull all the hopeful pieces together, it looks like Wolfe is working on a new Syfy script for a show called Defender... if we're right! Fingers crossed folks! Because that's all I have for ya! Now, to sit back and see what unfolds!
