Have some news bits from CBS's CSI, Syfy's Face Off, a new project from two popular and creative guys, and a thought on one late night host that is trying to self-destruct!

CSI has been renewed by CBS and along with it, Ted Danson is sticking around also. (Man he's come a long way since that Boston bar, "Where everyone knows your name.") Also joining Ted in coming back next season is Elisabeth Shue, George Eads, Jorja Fox, Eric Szmanda, Paul Guilfoyle and Robert David Hall, Wallace Langham, Elisabeth Harnois, David Berman and Jon Wellner.
Word on the street is that CSI: NY will not be returning, but I haven't seen official notification of that yet. (via press release)

In case you had not heard, HBO cancelled Enlightened. Bates Motel premiered on A&E to good numbers and

Face Off on Syfy was renewed. That will give it its fifth season on the network. This is the first season I've missed most of the episodes, but not because the show is old or sucks, but just pretty busy.
It's a great show that gives the viewers great insights to how the world works behind the scenes of makeup and special effects. (via press release)

Not sure if you've heard, but it seems like Jay Leno is going down (retiring next year with rumors saying that Jimmy Fallon is lined up to take his place in 2014) and he's trying to take the ship with him.
Jay has been getting snarkier about trashing on his paycheck source, NBC, since Comcast took over NBC and started cutting the fat from the network, from all levels of programming, including some Tonight Show staff.
Leno's bank account has been buffered up by NBC since he took over the show from Johnny Carson back in 1992. I guess he has a good exit plan that has an earlier than plotted exit in the works. (via observation and opinion)
-
If you're a Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci team fan, brace yourselves... Universal Pictures just acquired a sci-fi thriller movie project called Sagittarius A. The two, with Steven Karczynki, developed the premise.
More as I find out about it.
