The Walking Dead


The ever popular AMC series, The Walking Dead, returns for a fourth season, premiering on Sunday, October 13th, 2013.

It will be a sixteen episode season, with the first 8 airing October 13th and the second 8 (returning from mid-season break) on February 2014

New York – July 19, 2013– “The Walking Dead,” the most watched drama in basic cable history, returns for another terrifying and exhilarating season on Sunday, October 13th at 9pm ET/PT. In this post-apocalyptic world, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his band of survivors continue their ongoing struggle to survive the threat of walkers as well as the dangers that lurk among the living. A 16 episode season of the series which the The New York Post gave 4 stars, will air in two-parts with the first eight hours kicking off October 13th and returning February 2014 with the final eight episodes. Internationally, “The Walking Dead’ will return to audiences in 120+ FOX International Channels (FIC) markets the week of October 13th, as part of FIC continued commitment to broadcast the series near date-and-date globally. Following “The Walking Dead” will be the season premiere of AMC’s live after show, “Talking Dead,” hosted by Chris Hardwick at 10pm ET/PT. AMC's “The Walking Dead” is the first original cable series ever to end the broadcast TV season as the number one show in delivery for adults 18-49.

“The Walking Dead” premiere will coincide with AMC’s annual blockbuster marathon of thriller and horror films, AMCFearfest. Celebrating its 17th year, AMCFearfest will feature 19 consecutive days of themed programming and more than 70 films, running from Sunday, October 13th through Wednesday, October 31. In addition, AMC will air “The Walking Dead” marathon, from October 7th through October 13th beginning with season one straight through to the premiere of season four.

In the highly anticipated new season, we find Rick and the group fostering a thriving COMMUNITY in the safe haven of the prison. Sadly, in this brutal world, happiness is short-lived and walkers and outside threats are no match for danger brewing inside the fences. The group’s home and new way of life will be thoroughly tested, and their struggle to survive has never been so perilous. Season 4 also introduces several new characters including Bob Stookey (Lawrence Gilliard Jr., “The Wire”).

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, “The Walking Dead” stars Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Chandler Riggs, Scott Wilson, Melissa McBride, David Morrissey, Emily Kinney, DanaiGurira, Chad Coleman and Sonequa Martin-Green. The series is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, Tom Luse and Greg Nicotero.

The after show features Hardwick spending time with fans, actors, producers and TV enthusiasts, recapping the most recent “Dead” episode, providing sneak-peeks and discussion of upcoming episodes and taking questions and comments from viewers. The series is executive produced by Michael Davies and co-executive produced by Jen Kelly from Embassy Row.


“The Walking Dead” is the first original cable series ever to end the broadcast TV season as the number one show for adults 18-49. The Series has garnered two Emmy® Awards for Outstanding Prosthetic Make-up, a Golden Globe® Award nomination for Best Television Series- Drama and a WGA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Writing Derivative New Media, among other accolades.

Supernatural


It looks likes the CW is contemplating giving Supernatuarl the same treatment as the Vampire Dairies, and is contemplating a spin-off for Supernatural.

If they go with this, they're looking for a late season ep, maybe #20, as the backdoor pilot with the main character being introduced.

Though, if you ask me, they have plenty of great characters to spin from already.

Glee's new premiere date is now set for Sept. 26th.

Marvel's ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN has been renewed for a third season by Disney XD.

Teen Wolf


The Teen Wolf midseason finale airs on Aug. 19, and news out of Comic-Con says that season 3 will have its mid-season premiereon Jan. 6, 2014.

Wow, Netflix's original series, House of Cards, nabbed nine Emmy nominations this year. That's a huge boat of credibility for the internet produced TV world.

Scandal


If you like Scandal, keep your eyes open for the TV marathon repeats of the show... on BET.

BET will air two 14-hour marathons from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on August 10 and August 17. Starting Wednesday, August 21, the series will air two episodes at a time on Wednesdays from 9-11 p.m.

Scandal returns to ABC for season 3 on October 3rd.

Bunheads


I hope you weren't a fan of ABC Family's Bunheads. The net just announced that they've cancelled the series, after only one season.
