I wasn't sure what to expect from this last weekend's box office performance, but it's pretty reassuring when a non-action film like Lee Daniels' The Butler, kicks the crap out of its competition, both new and old!

In what I muster as a surprise, I saw that The Butler knocked it out of the park, and took the number 1 spot this last weekend, squeaking out the naked Jennifer Aniston movie, We're the Millers.
That's a docu-drama and a comedy film out-distancing it's competitors pretty nicely.
Behind the top-2 films, was the non-3D movie, Elysium, then the new film, Kick-Ass 2, and Planes rounded out the top 5 slots.
The other "notable" new movie that came out this last weekend, was the poorly panned movie, Jobs, starring Ashton Kutcher.
