Exiting 'Expendables 3,' One Wonders If Bruce Willis Is Becoming A Dick?

Over the last year or two, it feels like Bruce Willis is becoming more distant with his fans than he should.

He's had bad interviews that get viral attention.  When they're not horrible, the interviews sometimes seem distant and flippant.  And then there's various reports going on over time about what a dick he can be to work with.

I've seen other pieces on how he's horrible to try and work with or direct.

I've gone from being a fan to being over him.

But I still waffle, because like Tom Cruise, Bruce Willis puts out that one great characterization in all his movies that we all love.

The latest news is that Bruce Willis is out of Expendables 3 because they only wanted to pay him $3M a day instead of $4M.  Seriously?  $4M a day?  Damn.

On the bright side, this apparently made room for Harrison Ford in the movie, and that's pretty cool!

And now, Willis is explaining why he's been a dick to reporters of late.

His (paraphrased) statement is that once you've seen one fireball, you've seen them all, and he's getting tired of action films.

So rather than say no, he tosses out high income requests?  And if they do take the bait, then he can be a highly paid, bored actor.

BUT...

The last time he stepped away from action, he ended up in The Sixth Sense, (That fluke hit for M. Night), and a few other decent movies.  Maybe we'll get a new Bruce that we only see once every eclipse or so!

AND...

What I do take away from all this, is that Bruce Willis is pretty much giving you, the movie fan, his big middle finger.  What you want is irrelevant compared to how he feels.
