'Pacific Rim' Could Likely Get Their Sequel

Not sure if you've heard or not, but with the movie premiering in China, Pacific Rim has started making enough money and looks to be passing the break even point versus their production costs.

Most sites are reporting that with the monies earned worldwide, that studio and Guillermo del Toro would be eager to start working on a sequel.

If that's true, I'm betting that Warner's Bros might approach a sequel with tighter purse strings.

Of course, with the digital templates for the monsters designed, some sets already created, some of the production costs could be avoided.  Guillermo did use a ton of huge sound stages for his sets for this movie.

So, we'll see, in time, what comes of the Pacific Rim box office numbers and whatever plans everyone comes up with.
