Beware: This is a snarky take the season finale of The Bachelorette on ABC.
-
And now, for the "most dramatic season finale in Bachelorette history," With Brooks having dumped her ass in the last episode, tonight's episode started out with lots of crying. Lots.
She collected the other two guys to tell them she's having a bad day because Brooks left.
Wow, how to make them feel extra special about themselves!
Yes, those are second-fiddle looks on their faces. LOL. And yet, since they can't meet women in their real life, they choose to willingly stick around for Des.
So during her heartbreak, she powered through to her backup plans.
During the "live" telecast, Chris Harrison starts talking to the audience, and asks them if Brooks is coming back or not? Seriously?
-
On her date with Drew, she hopes there may be sparks with him. WTF? This is the first we've ever heard from her she has any issues with Drew. W the double F???
On this date with Drew, she ends up dumping the sap. Que the ABC heart-broken music. And Drew has to walk back up the cliff. (They rode horses down to the beach.)
Well, now it's all Chris as we are put through her date with Chris.
All the while, we get more Des skin time from ABC as she walks around in skimpy-wear.
Did anyone notice that Chris Harrison keeps asking the audience "What if Brooks comes back?" It's fascinating how much they are beating this dead horse to keep this one-horse race interesting.
(My poor wife was getting pissed at me because I kept laughing at the show... My premise is that anyone who comes on this show must fall into one of several categories of human, from egotistical for wanting to hang all out on TV, to being this good looking and not being able to land a mate! And various shades of gray in between. Hey she watches, I have to watch, I have to have my fun.)
-
Oh god, back from one break and we're getting opinions from some Bachelorette alumni, including Sean and Catherine. Wow, still together!
I guess ABC has to show off that not everyone has disbanded and run for the hills from the franchise.
And they keep bringing up Brooks. One has to keep up the "drama!"
Brooks, Brooks, and more Brooks questions for Sean '+1' and her friends, other alumni from the show that were booted to the curb.
-
Now Chris meets the family. Is it me, or does her family seem run over by her crazy brother?
Chris asks permission of her father to ask for her hand.
And oddly, she asks her brother for advice about Chris. (WTF?) He asks her if he's the one. She SAYS "In this moment, he is." WTF!
-
Des walking away from Brooks and getting over him in one day seems like total BS... this has got to be some wildly creative editing.
And going into the break, again, "Who thinks it's not too late for Brooks to come back?"
So in the end, Des tells Chris he's always been there for her, so (what the heck), she loves him.
So Chris kneels, proposes, she says "Yes, a thousand times."
Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried got engaged, and we were treated to a musical video recap of their encounters throughout the season.
-
Oh, and the next Bachelor will be Juan Pablo.
And now the sad folks who followed Reality Steve are starting to attack him on his Twitter account for being wrong... maybe they're just mad they got sucked in by one of his rare errors.
It's kind of funny to watch. Did ABC get to his source and have finally duped him?

I'm sorry, but I don't think this relationship will last too long. Chris is the second choice for the girl. The girl who had to pick one out of one. She was so upset when Brooks left that it was crazy. I guess we'll see how it goes.
