Carrie, starring Chloƫ Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore, is due out in theaters October 18th, just in time for Halloween.
As it stands, studios sometimes have great content to work with when it comes to marketing. Usually it's in the form of websites and an occasional treasure hunt or what have you. But this time around, distributor Sony Pictures just went all out and had a blast (I assume) pulling off this stunt.
The stunt was pulling together a specially constructed coffee shop, setting up a few actors, then baiting in some real customers to see what they can to their poor phsychies!
It's a blast watching their faces, watching them back away, or even drop their food.
