The teaser clip for the Godzilla movie, coming out in May of 2014, has just hit the web.
Normally, this is where I go on and on about a clip, but screw that. The only mentions I'm going to make are that it looks like there's another dead monster in the scene. And the carnage looks incredible. And it's not an official channel I'm hooked up to yet... I'm hoping this won't get pulled. And this seems a bit early for a clip from the studio for marketing rounds for the movie.
But...
The clip looks incredible. There's a narration in the background as it showed a destroyed city, what looks like a body of a dead kaiju amongst the wreckage, and it closes on the big guy roaring. (The lead-in post image is from the teaser and was the promo teaser image released a year ago.) I'm looking forward to what director Gareth Edwards (Monsters) has done with this new film incarnation of Godzilla!

As I suspected, it was not an official release and the teaser was pulled from all sources that I could find. What was odd was that this was primo quality, not that pirated crap you get from when someone sneaks a video device into Comic Con that other sites post.
My guess is that someone grumpy in Legendary may have had this "slip" up. I can't wait to hear about the details if they do come out. Well...we'll just have to wait.
In the mean time I had a bad feeling, so...

The trailer clip scrolls across a few scenes of destruction... a city destroyed, tiny little bodies scattered amongst the destruction.
We pan across the body of a kaiju... obviously a victim of Godzilla's rage (Considering the news earlier this year that there's more than one monster in the movie.), scales and claws pointing to the sky in the after-throes of death.
Then through a mist of swirling dust, we see the back with ridge scales, panning up to see his head, then he roars.
And through it all, during the teaser, a voice over, that of J. Robert Oppenheimer, making this teaser experience, bordering on epic... saying this
