I don't know about you, but when the holidays come around, one of the ways to spend some time is in the movies. And depending on the movie consumer, there are specific kinds of movies that might fare better at the movie theater than others.
For instance a few great fantasy and/or sci-fi themed movies will be out in theaters by the time Thanksgiving week roles around.
Those most likely being
Thor: The Dark World;
Gravity;
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire;
Oldboy.

But what family films might be out during the Thanksgiving week, were mom and dad can take the entire family to see?
Some years leave families high and dry during the holidays, but this year, might be a tad different.
Well different if movies like Free Birds is still in theaters.
And with Frozen coming out on Wednesday, November 27th.
Ender's Game might still be in theaters, but with its present downhill box office spiral, I would not be surprised if it would be hard to find.
And would you take your kids to go see Bad Grandpa?

Meh
So for family entertainment on Thanksgiving, depending on ages, you have
Thor 2,
The Hunger Games,
Free Birds,
and Frozen.
-
Rentals?
Pacific Rim might qualify.
After Earth... maybe.
Man of Steel, (Well, maybe)
Planes,
We're the Millers (Maybe?),
Grown Ups 2 (Maybe),
Turbo (comes out Nov 26th),
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (Out on Nov 26th).

Depending on your tastes and pocketbook, you might have options for both going out and staying home. it depends on your tolerances and wallet depth. But it's your weekend with the fam. What are you doing?
