First up...

Hours, a movie starring Paul Walker, about a father who struggles to keep his baby alive in the wake of Katrina, is still on schedule for it's December 13th release, per a decision by Pantelion Films and Lionsgate.  It's scheduled to open in 15 cities nationwide and debut on VOD the same day.

His other upcoming film, Brick Mansions, is in post-production.

Fast and Furious 7 production status, at the moment, is still unknown.

Sources have conflicting information.  First source I saw said all his scenes were already filmed.  Another source says he still had some filler scenes to shoot.  Well, you see where that's going.

THR reported that Universal held a meeting on Saturday to determine how best to proceed.  It's here that I saw them report that the cast was headed to Abu Dhabi in January to film some additional scenes.

But more importantly, how will Universal handle this movie release?

Fast and Furious 7 (Fast 7) is about folks driving sports cars.  And that film will more than likely, have terrible car wrecks like the previous films do.  How will they address this conundrum?

More than likely with kid gloves and a lot of understanding.

As it is, Walker co-owned a few businesses involved with high performance cars and racing, and thus, I suspect they will play the "he loved cars" card.  And I think, rightfully so.

The Accident...
As far as the accident goes, things are confusing me more and more.

The car itself was giving an employee of Roger Rodas, troubles as he was trying to back the car into a garage.  Rodas offered to step in and back the car in.  IN the process, Paul came up to Roger and said he had not been in this Porsche yet, so they took off for a 20-minute drive.

It was upon their return, a reportedly mere 500 yards from the garage's driveway, that things went horribly wrong.

I can't imagine what, but in time, we'll be sure to hear the details of the single-car accident.

I'm so sorry for his family and friend's loss... for both men.  They were business partners so their lives intertwined on different levels.

I don't know about you, but I swear, Deadline Hollywood HAS GOT TO rethink their idea of the title for their weekly focus pieces...
