Lex Luthor Cast in BATMAN VS SUPERMAN, And It Isn't Bryan Cranston!

The powers behind Batman vs Superman (AKA Man of Steel 2) keep surprising the public.

First they cast Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman and now, Warner Bros has announced that they've cast Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.  Holy casting calls Batman!!!

Now sure, it might have been a surprise to those who aren't in the inner circles of casting but thought they knew how the inner circle thinks.  And this casting puts all those "What If" or "Best actors to play" posts all out the window and to shame.

I also know many folks were hoping to see Bryan Cranston play Lex Luthor.  For all we know, Cranston didn't have his hat in this ring or maybe he did.  Who knows?  Not me.  I just wait until someone who knows what's going on says what's going on.

Now if you think that maybe Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor is not the best casting match up, I am going to beg to differ with you.

Sure, he's done his fair share of comedic roles like Zombieland and I have yet to see him Now You See Me, but if you've seen The Social Network, and his vicious portrayal of Mark Zuckerberg, I think you'd see why I think he would be good for the role.

Oh, in other news, the character, Lex Luthor will be Batman Vs. Superman.

Now...  let's hope to god that Zack Snyder doesn't do to Lex what Shane Black did to The Mandarin in Iron Man 3!!!

Just saying, 'cause I still have the emotional scars from that one.
