Syfy's Movie Twist on Bermuda Triangle, BERMUDA TENTACLES!

You know your career has turned to shit when, after starring in some major film franchises, you're hitting up Syfy (And Asylum no less) for a TV movie role.  But that's the pitch for Syfy's newest movie coming up in mid-April...

Bermuda Tentacles is an Asylum production, but I can't figure out which major movie they're ripping off this time around.

In Bermuda Tentacles,

Linda Hamilton (The Terminator) will star as an Admiral of a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier battling an ancient monster in the new Syfy Original Movie Bermuda Tentacles, premiering Saturday, April 12 at 9PM (ET/PT).

In the tele-movie, Air Force One goes down in the Bermuda Triangle, and the measures they take to rescue those on board awaken a sleeping monster, which then attacks the eastern seaboard.

Wait... it's way too early to spoof Gareth Edwards' upcoming Godzilla film.  Way too early.  Godzilla hits theaters on May 16th, 2014!

Bermuda Tentacles will air on Syfy on Saturday, April 12th, 2014.  Mark your calendars... as either a reminder or warning to unplug your TV!

(For those of you who don't know, Asylum is known for some obvious knock off movies that they release a few days before the real movies come out:  Dark Rising, Ready 2 Die, Apocalypse Pompeii, Sleeping Beauty, Jack the Giant Killer, Hansel and Gretel, Rise of the Zombies, Alien Origin, Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies, A Haunting in Salem, Paranormal Entity, Almighty Thor, Battle of Los Angeles)  Did you see a title close to or remind you of a movie you've seen or heard of?  Those last two were the worst movies ever, ever in the history of film making.  (Thor used an Uzi to fight bad guys.)

Be it as it may, the process works for them because enough people eat up their content to make it profitable to continue to rip off major studios and films.

But I digress,

My guess is that this latest late-night TV movie hit, they're spoofing an adult title somewhere, since some of their movies have interesting, at best, titles.
