I loved the "under the hood" scene, where Casey and Donatello were having a conversation, and insulting each other, alphabetically. (Atomic Mouth, Barfaroni, Camel Breath, Dome head, Elf lips, funkoid... "What are we on?" "G," gak face, hose brain...) Or when Ninjas attack Raphael, where several show up, and he asks, "How do you expect to beat me?" Then dozens upon dozens more drop in on him. His reply: "Good answer!"

Michael Bay (Transformers) is producing, with Jonathan Liebesman (Battle Los Angeles, Wrath of the Titans) directing.
What's interesting, if you had not heard the news, was how this film developed.
When Michael Bay first announced his shot at updating this remake, his first go-around, the rumors were that the turtles would be aliens rather than mutantly enhanced. But the fan-dom went mad/stir-nuts enough about it that he re-approached his spin, and stuck with the traditional approach. Or, so the fans have been led to believe. (I'm waiting for that secret twist Bay might throw in there.)
The other interesting aspect of this movie, is that this is where the olive branch gets extended between Michael Bay and Megan Fox. (At least, for this one film, to show he's forgiven her.) If you recall, in an interview I believe she referred to him as a nazi director during Transformers 2, and hence, how Sam got himself a new girlfriend in the third film.
Now, they're back together.
The cast for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles includes
Alan Ritchson – Raphael
Noel Fisher – Michelangelo
Jeremy Howard – Donatello
Pete Ploszek – Leonardo
Danny Woodburn – Splinter
William Fichtner – The Shredder
Megan Fox – April O'Neil
Will Arnett – Vernon Fenwick
Whoopi Goldberg – Bernadette Thompson
Abby Elliott – Irma Langinstein
Minae Noji – Karai
The scheduled release date stands at Aug 8, 2014. And to be honest, it looks pretty cool!
