The movie clips are coming out left and right now, with the theatrical release of Godzilla being just a touch over a month away.
In this clip titled "Courage," it starts out with footage we've seen from the first trailer, but then it starts to slide off into new territory of visuals.
A foot, a tail, a cloud-enshrouded outline of the big guy.
Yep, here comes the marketing.
And because there's such marketing hitting the "streets," so to speak, is a good sign. That shows some faith behind the movie from the studios.
Godzilla, In theaters May 16th, Gareth Edwards directs the cast which includes
Aaron Taylor-Johnson ("Kick-Ass" - Bruce note: I don't think his dual sticks will do him any good here.),
Ken Watanabe ("The Last Samurai," "Inception" - Bruce note: sorry bud, this is not a dream and it don't matter if the spinning top wobbled or not.),
Elizabeth Olsen ("Martha Marcy May Marlene"),
Juliette Binoche ("The English Patient," "Cosmopolis" - there's going to be a lot of patients after the big guy stomps through town!),
Sally Hawkins ("Blue Jasmine"),
David Strathairn ("Good Night, and Good Luck.," "The Bourne Legacy" - This isn't another "BlackBriar" project, is it buddy?) and
Bryan Cranston ("Argo," TV's "Breaking Bad" - It would take a shit-load of blue meth to deal with this guy!!!).
All working off a script that was last touched up and refined by Frank Darabont. (Nope, this is not a zombie. OMG, that would be even worse!)
With all these clips coming out, I think the studios are expecting good box office numbers. If you remember, Pacific Rim barely had any TV marketing until the week before. I called that lack of faith. You do the math here!
