SundanceTV gives viewers the chance to relive their favorite Walter White and Jesse Pinkman moments with weekly marathons of “Breaking Bad,” the five season drama widely regarded as one of the best series of all time. Each Wednesday, beginning December 30th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, four episodes of the highly awarded series, touted as “TV’s most twisted, bleakly funny and just plain addictive series ever” by the Associated Press, will air back-to-back in chronological order. Original programming will air on Wednesdays beginning spring 2016.
The multi Emmy© Award-winning series which originally aired on AMC, created and produced by Vince Gilligan, follows protagonist Walter White (Emmy© Award-winning Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Emmy© Award-Winning Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs with his former student Jesse Pinkman (Emmy© award-winning Aaron Paul) and crime and ascends to power in this world. The series explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade. The series additionally stars Marie Schrader (Betsy Brandt) and her husband Hank (Dean Norris), Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) and more.
