CWs BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Final Season Premiere Episode

The first episode of the final season of The CW's Beauty and the Beast premiered.

This time around Catherine (‎Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent (‎Jay Ryan) seem to be leading an idyllic life while being on their honeymoon in Paris. But they're worried about this new life, worried that this peaceful life won't last forever.

Meanwhile, back at home, a blogger has uncovered evidence of Vincent's existence and a mystery man has put out a $5 million bounty on all remaining beasts or Vincent himself.

This final season, at least this first season premiere episode had a bit of a different tone to it. Despite the seriousness of some situations, characters had to pop out quirky one or two-liners. This is not the usual B&B we've come to known on The CW. I guess the methodology of adding quirky humor like Marvel does, is catching on a bit. Now, if folks can only do it right.

Secondly, they keep referring to the blogosphere. Seriously? When's the last time any called it that?

Otherwise, it was the usual noise of character developments, though with the addition of the quirky humor, there was a moment in the beginning of the episode where Vincent tracked the killer of this episode. But when Catherine gets kidnapped, he doesn't track her?

We'll see how the rest of this final season goes. I hope they have a new kind of nemesis, and if this first episode is any clue, then we will have one, and it has potential!
