Rumors Suggest PLANET HULK May Be Coming Sooner Than Thought

Well, as is with any movie that hasn't opened yet, the rumors and "insider" leaks are starting to kick in gear regarding Thor: Ragnarok.

Not sure if you've followed any stories about any kind of Hulk movie, but many have been clamoring for the Planet Hulk storyline, where Hulk gets shot into space by Tony Stark to get him off the earth, but his shuttle malfunctions and he lands on a planet where he gets captured and forced into gladiatorial combat.

Hulk fans seem to want this made into film, but my guess, from what I've read, is that Hulk probably can't pull off a good box office win for Marvel by himself, hence why we haven't seen another solo film about the big green guy. But he's been a big, smash hit when added on as a supporting character of sorts.  (Yes, pun intended.)

OH, in case these are right, SPOILERS!!!  But when are they ever?

The rumors are that Thor will be looking for a weapon to stop Ragnorok and this search for the ultimate weapon will include an adaptation of the Planet Hulk storyline in some way, shape or part, into the Thor film.

Supposedly we will see Hulk in his gladiator armor and Thor, looking bald.

But these are, insider rumors. I hate banking on them because 99% of the time they do not pan out. (I'm talking most preview rumors in general).

But if you were curious, there you go. Thor will have the Planet Hulk story in the plot, Thor will be bald at some point, and all will be great once again within the MCU.

IF YOU BELIEVE THIS RUMOR.  (PS: It would be the prefect way to give Hulk fans their Planet Hulk story while not having Marvel totally go out on a limb by producing a solo Hulk film.  It's a great rumor and I want to believe. Hey, wait, that's the X-Files punch line.)
