As it was, the swimmer was already signed up to the show before he went off the deep end (no pun intended) out in Rio. But after his little debacle, there were questions as to whether ABC would let him be on the show or not. But alas, ABC is not stupid and they see a ratings magnet when they have one.
Rating magnets can range from those who dumb things while representing the U.S., to people who are overcoming distinct physical challenges. No, I don't mean the 70-year-olds that can't move to save their life that somehow, magically, manage to survive more elimination rounds than they should!
But this is TV and that's what the majority of viewers like seeing. So we get to watch this guy try to dance.Lochte claims he doesn't dance and this is all new to him, so for those of you who will watch, it should be interesting. That is, if you believe him about that.
