CULVER CITY, Calif. (August 1, 2016) – Crackle, Sony’s free streaming network, will continue season five of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee: Single Shots” with new episodes debuting every Thursday. This smaller, more concentrated cup of comedy includes the best of Jerry Seinfeld’s recently Emmy-nominated show, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, which just concluded its eighth season. The show is nominated under Outstanding Variety Talk Series, garnering the first-ever digital series nomination in this category and the first time the show was nominated outside the short-form category. Crackle’s original series, “Sports Jeopardy!” hosted by Emmy Award-winning sportscaster Dan Patrick, will air as an encore presentation on NBCSN following the network’s nightly coverage of the Rio Olympics. The 30-minute sports quiz show will air with four consecutive episodes each night on NBCSN starting at 12am EST on Saturday, August 6 through Friday, August 19. You can watch new episodes of “Sports Jeopardy” every Wednesday on Crackle.
Additional programming arriving to Crackle exclusively in August includes Warner Brothers fan favorite, Police Academy with all seven films and the 90’s drama thriller, Menace II Society. Other new movies include Will Smith’s family drama The Pursuit of Happyness; the action-packed thriller Machete starring Robert De Niro and Jessica Alba; and Adam Sandler’s hit comedy Mr. Deeds. Also joining the exciting lineup is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas starring Jonny Depp; How High with rappers Redman and Method Man and additional episodes of the hit sitcom, “Seinfeld.”
In anticipation of season two, fans can binge-watch the entire first season of Crackle’s first, one-hour scripted drama, “The Art of More,” starring Dennis Quaid (executive producer), Kate Bosworth, Cary Elwes and Christian Cooke. Fans can also watch all 13 episodes of the critically acclaimed, stop-motion animated comedy, “SuperMansion” with Bryan Cranston (executive producer), Seth Green (executive producer), Keegan-Michael Key and Jillian Bell, among several guest stars including: Chris Pine, Jordan Peele, Donald Faison, Ron Perlman, Breckin Meyer, Clark Duke and many more.
