WESTWORLD on HBO
Next week's new series and season premieres include some solid hitters and a few newbie shows. The premieres include NCIS: LA, Elementary, Scorpion, The Flash and Arrow! And the much awaited series premiere on HBO of Westworld!
I've enjoyed Scorpion but sometimes it just gets too over the top for me. While The Flash will be starting up the new season focused on the story arc of "Flash Point," from the comics, where Barry does the dipshit move of going back in time and saving his mother last season. And now, he's going to pay a fascinating price and see how mucking with time can change oh, so many things. The exec producers have also said it will not encompass the entire season. But to me, that's sometimes the best part of a good story arc... driving fans crazy for an entire season!

Arrow also starts up a new season, with new bad guys.
Not this week, but next week, Supergirl joins the DC world of CW shows. And with her now in this reality, it will be interesting to see how much we hear of her in the other aforementioned shows.
But of all the shows below, I'm betting many are waiting for the Westworld reboot this Sunday on HBO. Brought to us by Jonathan Nolan (Person of Interest, The Dark Knight films) & J.J. Abrams, it stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris (pictured above as the cowboy in black), Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden and more. The original author, Michael Crichton, co-wrote with Nolan the 10 episodes coming at us. And if we thought the original 1973 film bordered on hot and sexy at times, well, it's HBO, so be prepared! (Looking at the cast list, it's quite the star-studded event!)
