Who Was Deborah Gresham, THE TALKING DEAD

At the end of this week's The Walking Dead companion show, The Talking Dead show, we saw a memorial saying,

"In Loving Memory of Deborah Gresham. A huge fan forever in our hearts."

Who was Deborah Gresham?

Deborah was the originator of a Walking Dead Facebook fan page called Zombie Killers two. It's a 'closed group,' but it has just under 21,000 members.

Sadly, Deborah was killed in a traffic accident when a car hit her while she was riding her bicycle in Orange County, California.

The driver of the car had been arrested on "Suspicion of felony hit and run, felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter." Turns out that after the collision, he had driven home, but witnesses had followed him home.

She was the 63rd bicycle fatality in CA this year.  That's such a sad way to pass.

She must have been a very energetic person, who had a passion for The Walking Dead. Running FaceBook pages takes a lot of work and dedication.

Our thoughts go out to her family and friends.

  2. Debbie was not only the founder of the group, but a dearly loved friend to all of us on her page. When my Dad passed away, Debbie was there for me night and day. Her and I had corresponded a little before that tragic time in my life. She didnt know me that well, but because she had a heart of gold, for many nights she stayed awake with me. Had it not been for Debbie, I dont k ow what I would have done. She didnt have to spend all those sleepless nights helping me, afterall, we hardly knew one another. She was like that with sooo many on her site. I dont know how she ever found the time to sleep. We all found a love in a friend with Debbie. We all lost a part of our heart when she passed. We love you Debbie, and none of us will ever forget you.may you RIP.

  3. It was very touching seeing the in memory... for Debbie. If you did not know her through the group, or personally, I don't have the words to express how wonderful she was. She will be missed by the members of the group, anyone that knew her personally, and her family, but will always been in our hearts. RIP Debbie.

  7. Debbie was friend to many TWD fans who became more like her extended family. She spent her days and nights looking out for her members, inspiring and encouraging talent, hosting TWD merch and jewelry giveaways, welcoming and getting to know new members, sponsoring charitable giving for Childrens Hospital of Orange County, keeping her TWD fans engaged in discussion around season and off season episodes and cliffhangers, sharing her sense of humor, love of all things TWD and the beloved actors and creating a space where fans could come together to share their fan experiences, opinions and stories with fellow fans. Debbie grew a community of love and support that surrounded her and embraced her as one of our own. Even in death, Debbie continues to inspire and bring people together from all over the world. She continues to shine in our Zombie Killers Two group as an eternal light bringing others into our group where her memory and beautiful spirit lives on. We truly miss you, Debbie <3 Theresa Marroccelli ZK2 Forever!

  8. I'm sorry that she is gone but Debbie was not the person people are making her out to be! Debbie hurt and backstabbed alot of people! Including the owner of the biggest walking dead group on Facebook! Rip Vernon ! The walking dead fan base is the best but Debbie stepped on everybody's toes to get what she wanted! You people thought she was your friend! Well guess what so did me and some of my admins of my walking dead group at one time! So there is a true comment sorry not sorry

  12. So here's how this is going to go: This is a memorial post, not an attack post by those who won't use their names. If you have a beef with the person who has no way of defending herself, you need to start your own blog post somewhere else. At this point, I'm deleting the bs attack comments. Thanks for understanding.
