Iron Fist is another Marvel product being brought from the pages of the company to the gritty feeling world that the Marvel/Netflix production houses have been creating. The feel of the shows on Netflix is real. It's dirty, it takes place in the alleys and back streets, there's no accolades for our heroes, just blood, broken bodies and small personal challenges in their own worlds. But these worlds are not without reference to the bigger Marvel universe either, nor do they ignore their other street-wise brethren.
Here's the press description of the Netflix title, Iron Fist:
Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand
(Finn Jones) mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim
his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy
rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his
family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist. Marvel's Iron Fist
premieres March 17, 2017 exclusively on Netflix.
