CBS announced that they have given early renewal notices to several shows for the upcoming 2017-2018 television season which adds to the two previously announced renewals of NCIS and The Big Bang Theory:
48 Hours,
60 Minutes,
Blue Bloods,
Bull,
Hawaii Five-0,
Kevin Can Wait,
Life In Pieces,
MacGyver,
Madam Secretary,
Man With a Plan,
Mom,
NCIS,
NCIS: Los Angeles,
NCIS: New Orleans,
Scorpion,
Superior Donuts,
Survivor and
The Big Bang Theory
If a show you watch is not in this list, that's because it's still sitting on the bubble, waiting to slide one way or the other...
BUT... the renewal of Hawaii Five-0 brings to light an interesting scenario. We're currently in the seventh season of the show, and according to all press, Alex O'Loughlin is leaving Hawaii 5.0 after season 8. With that in mind, will they play that angle up throughout the season? Or will it just be an event that removes his character from the story.
It will be interesting to see how they choose to approach this situation, if O'Loughlin does indeed leave the show.
And one more footnote: Holy crap, NCIS just keeps going and going and going....
(Psst, did you catch what's coming to Netflix in April?)
