For the admirer or fans of Helen Mirren, she has a new film coming out, in the horror genre, called Winchester: The House That Ghosts Built!
The title is a bit long and I'm surprised they went with that, but there it is.
The film stars Jason Clarke, Helen Mirren star and is directed by Michael and Peter Spierig. (Jigsaw, Daybreakers, Undead).
Looking at the plot, "Eccentric firearm heiress believes she is haunted by the souls of people killed by the Winchester repeating rifle." You can see the film is based on the Winchester Mystery Mansion in the Bay Area.
The mansion itself, lived in by Sarah Winchester, was thought to be haunted by the souls of those whose lives were taken by the Winchester rifles. So Sarah started to add on and build confusing and curious constructs to keep the ghosts confused.
Popular legend says a 'medium' told her she had to move west to build the mansion. There's more at the Wikipedia link below.
In the meantime, check out the trailer included above, see what you think. It's due out in February of 2018. Unless ghosts step and have something to say about it.
