HBO, BIRD BOX, BLADE RUNNER, And more..

Today's tidbits include True Detective, Bird Box, Jerry Springer, an Anime Blade Runner series, and a CG Ghost in the Shell series. Plus a bunch of renewals and a cancellation or two.

I guess True Detective premiered on HBO in January, but whoopsie, HBO pulled it's content from DISH on 11/1/18 during a spitting match of a contract dispute! Meh, I am not missing the network since it was bought up by AT&T.

I guess that "Bird Box" Broke Some Netflix Records, but...

When Bird Box premiered on Netflix, it set records in its first week, with over 45 million accounts streaming the movie in the first seven days.

But...

Do these numbers translate to actual viewers? Plus, the numbers reported or counted includes someone that has watched at least 70 percent of a movie. Do if everyone bailed on the film after the 70% mark, we won't know!

My take on the film was a bit bland...

Jerry Springer is returning to Daytime Syndication in the fall of 2019 and has been sold in 75 percent of the U.S. to stations.

Adult Swim Announced a "Blade Runner" Anime Series based on the movie "Blade Runner 2049" and right now, is being referred to  as "Blade Runner - Black Lotus." The series will have thirteen 30-minute episodes.

Netflix has announced that they will be streaming a new CG series called "Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045."

Comedy Central acquired all seven seasons of "Parks and Recreation" for your rerun watching pleasures!

Believe it or not, Travel Channel Ordered a Reboot of "Ripley's Believe it or Not"
