For this season, ABC had ordered three extra episodes of Grey's Anatomy for this present season. This will actually tie it with the longest running scripted medical drama, ER. IF/when it gets renewed, Grey's will then be the longest running medical drama in TV history.

-

The CW did order a new series, called Batwoman, which will star Ruby Rose (Orange is the New Black). We first saw the Batwoman character in the holiday DC crossover event.

Into the Dark,* premieres on April 4 at 9 p.m.
iZombie's fifth and final season airs on April 4th.
The 100's sixth season on April 30.
D.C.'s Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow return on Monday April 15.

-

Al Pacino is coming to TV, of a sorts, because he'll be starring in an upcoming Amazon drama "The Hunt," a series that is a vengeance-driven Nazi hunting series.

-

Fox is looking to revive the Big Brother-like series, Paradise Hotel. Yes, that very same Paradise Hotel that only aired for one season... way back in 2003 then moved to an off-label network for four more years.

-

Netflix has ordered Shadow and Bone, a series based on Leigh Bardugo's "Shadow and Bone" and "Six of Crows" Grishaverse fantasy novels.

-

Yes, CBS renewed Criminal Minds for one more season, but their next season will be the series last season.

-

Vikings has been cancelled, with the latest season being its last on History. But it seems that History is also looking to continue their story in some other kind of series. We'll figure out what it is if they find what they want.

Here's an interesting DID YOU KNOW:

Recently CBS and the ratings measurement company, Nielsen renewed their contracts with each other.  Wait, what?  Yep, it seems that Nielsen sells it's raw or more detailed viewer data to networks so that the networks have a more finely tuned method of setting their advertising rates for upcoming seasons. That's how $20-70B per year is spent on TV ads!
